This is such a taboo area for many clients most of whom accept the advertising claims of popular brands sold in the supermarket. They often believe that products sold through hairdressers are just a money making exercise and make no difference. Often clients have purchased styling products from other hairdressers to see the dust pile up on them in the bathroom after only using them a couple of times.

Professional hair care does cost more due to the quality of ingredients used. But there are products to suit all budgets and if you care about your hair, an investment in good quality products will pay off in so many ways.

We’ve had so many clients who cannot believe the difference a good shampoo and conditioner has made to their hair and life.

So you can continue to use a supermarket brand and wonder why your hair is
  • oily despite washing it frequently;
  • brittle and with split ends despite using the range
          for damaged hair;
  • or your colour doesn’t hold despite using the range designed
          for coloured hair.

Or you could wonder why the company who manufactures your brand can afford to spend millions of dollars on advertising and yet does not advertise its professional range in the same way.

The simple answer is profit margin.

When you buy your brand from a supermarket, a large portion goes to pay for marketing. They cannot use the same quality products at this price point as they do in professional ranges. They can issue all the “product challenges” they like, but these products are not designed with long term hair health in mind. In fact they will have you thinking that you have problem hair… when part of the problem is the product you are using. Add straightening irons to the mix and you’ve got a cocktail that burns cheap plastic (silicon) into your hair making it dull, brittle and damaged.

We offer an extensive range of haircare and styling products and there is a product or range to suit most budgets and lifestyles that do not compromise on quality. We wouldn’t stock these products if they did not make hair healthier.

If you care about your skin, you go to a specialist beauty counter… why would you entrust your hair to a supermarket brand?
